Lucrin has several ranges of leather to choose from, including vegetable-tanned leather.
Vegetable-tanned leather is tanned using only ingredients from nature (a selection of leaves, fruits, woods, roots and barks), as a rule in small, traditional tanneries.
The final result is a leather “hide”, but one that is silky to the touch, with a glossy appearance and that special smell of well-cured leather.
Lucrin vegetable-tanned leathers are particularly hard-wearing and lend thomselves to use in all the articles in the Lucrin range, which we offer in six colors : cognac, dark brown, brown, red, black and burgundy.
This form of leather is suitable for use in leather carving or stamping. Historically, it was occasionally used as armor after hardening, and it has also been used for book binding.

Fantastic designs! I love the idea of vegetable-tanned leather. I have seen various designs of bags, but it’s the first time I’ve been really touched. Marvelous purse, great idea.
